LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Student Support Coordinator, SSD

The Student Support Department (SSD) is currently recruiting two SSD Coordinators: one dedicated to the Early Years and Elementary divisions, and the other focused on the Secondary divisions. In these pivotal roles, the SSD Coordinators will spearhead student support structures, with a particular emphasis on overseeing the Intensive Support (Tier 3) program.

As leaders within the department, the Coordinators will closely collaborate with divisional administrators, the Director of Student Support Services, and the SSD Head of Departments to ensure seamless coordination and development of programs and associated staff. Key responsibilities include leading the review of applicants during the admissions process for student support, facilitating the student referral process, and managing logistics for students entering and exiting the Intensive Support Program.

The SSD Coordinators will play a vital role in supporting the continuum of interventions available for students at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, in addition to taking on other tasks as assigned by the Director. These positions demand a proactive approach, effective collaboration, and a commitment to the holistic support of students within the school

TEACHING POSITIONS

Math Coach, Elementary

The Math Coach will work closely with the Elementary School (ES) pedagogical leadership team, in particular the PYP coordinator, in leading curriculum development and collaborative planning times with grade level teams. The purpose of these collaboration times can vary from building teaching capacity, facilitating data talks about assessment, looking at documentation or evidence of learning and facilitating collaborative planning for math. The Math Coach will also work closely with the ES curriculum team in order to create year long overviews and review the alignment of the math curriculum. They will be involved with analyzing data for the purpose of guiding pedagogical decisions and conducting parent information sessions and workshops to support and deepen parent understanding of the SAIS math curriculum for our elementary mathematicians.

The role of the Visual Arts Teacher is essentially to build and maintain a successful visual arts program within the school. This includes teaching artistic skills and techniques through a standards based inquiry approach to students from grades 1 to 5 in conjunction with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

The Language Teacher for both Korean and Japanese at SAIS will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction to students in the Middle and High School. This includes designing engaging lesson plans that cater to various proficiency levels and learning styles.

The successful candidate will possess fluency in both Korean and Japanese, providing a comprehensive language learning experience. Instrumental Music Teacher

The role of our Instrumental Music Teachers is to build and maintain a successful music program within the school. Head of Aquatics

SAIS is seeking an inspirational Head of Aquatics to lead the competitive swimming club program and have overall responsibility for the SAIS Swim Program. This will require close collaboration with the CCA / Athletic Director and PE Department Heads to ensure that the swimming program coordinates with the overall school sports and academic programs. IT Support Engineer

Lead, Innovation Centre

The Lead, Innovation Center is responsible for proactively designing purposeful use of the Innovation Center. This includes collaboration with teachers on units that leverage the Innovation Center; coaching and facilitation of the robotics program; teaching the use of tools and software; and promoting clubs, activities and events within the space. PE and Aquatics Assistant, High School

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ’s Physical Education Assistant plays a key role in supporting our educational teachers with the delivery of the PE program during curriculum time. They will assist in the creation of a learning environment where students feel positively challenged in Physical Education activities. As an integral part of the Physical Education Department, they will have opportunities to develop skills in Physical Education curriculum areas including aquatics.

As an Physical Education and Aquatics Assistant at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, your primary objective is to support the delivery of the Physical Education program during curriculum time, creating a positively challenging learning environment for students in all activities. Fostering trusting relationships and ensuring student safety are key responsibilities. You will assist in pool area observations, enforce rules, and manage facilities and equipment. Collaborating with the Aquatic Director and PE Department, you’ll maintain aquatic resources. Supervising students, responding to emergencies, and preparing accurate reports are crucial. Proctor

The integrity of the exam process is fundamental to any educational program because it provides a supervised check of the student’s knowledge and capability. The school therefore requires that prospective proctors understand their responsibilities and agree to ensure that integrity.

The Proctor is responsible for administering the various school testing as assigned. This person must be committed to be available for assignment during the two-three main school wide MAP testing period, September, Jan-Feb and April-May, and other school testing/exam assignments as required.When an individual is accepted as a proctor, they represent the school and are accountable to the testing/examination process.

The Proctor should be comfortable with different age ranges of children and be able to maintain discipline in a class.
